Mangotsfield Ukulele Jam (previously known as Bristol Ukulele Jam) are a friendly and helpful bunch who enjoy playing the ukulele together and singing along too. There is No pressure to perform. Play along if you want, sing along if you want. It's up to you. We play the ukulele in a relaxed and supportive group it is great fun and social way to develop your ukulele playing. These aren't ukulele lessons but we all learn. All levels of skill and experience are welcome. All you need is a ukulele and a sense of humour.
Our Wednesday evening jams are not rehearsals or practices. They are what we do. Everyone is welcome to come and join us every Wednesday evening from 7:30 to 9:00 at: Baden Hall, Northcote Road, Mangotsfield, Bristol. BS16 9HF.
A sat-nav may take you a few houses down the road, but the Baden Hall is easy to find as it is a former Methodist church now used as a Scout HQ just across the green from the Lamb Inn.
Even if you don't have a ukulele, please come join us and you can have a go and see if it's for you. Everyone brings their own uke, so please contact us if you would like to borrow one for the evening. We can then arrange for someone to bring a spare.
Mangotsfield Ukulele Jam is a non-profit community group born of a desire to make music with others. We do depend on the kindness of the Scout group for allowing us to meet in Baden Hall. So we hope for a voluntary donation (we suggest £2 per week) to gift to the scout group to say thank you. That's much cheaper than meeting in a pub; the acoustics are great and the money goes directly to the scout group (Registered charity number 295866)
